NEWS & UPCOMING EVENTS
*** Greyhound Picnic *** It's time for our greyhound picnic once again. On Sunday, September 23 from noon to 4pm at the Shrine club on Topsail Rd. FREE ADMISSION - BBQ - SILENT AUCTION - GAMES FOR CHILDREN AND DOGS - FACEPAINTING and much much more. Come out and support this great organization, donations to the Community Food Sharing Association gratefully accept and please no other breeds of dogs. See you there!!!!!!!
*** DO YOU HAVE SPECIAL SKILLS TO DONATE TO GPAC? *** We were thinking that at our Meet & Greets, and other special events, we could sell donated crafts/cookies, etc as a fundraiser. If any of you would like to donate homemade dog biscuits, scarves, dog or cat toys, and any other items pet related that you could make, that would be greyt!
We currently have two people that have offered to make biscuits for our upcoming Meet & Greet already, and we'll be doing them up in little bags with labels. Our stash of scarves has also pretty well sold out, so any donations would be welcome. If you have any scraps of fabric you could spare to make some, or even just donate the fabric, and we can cut and sew.
Lauren was also thinking of cross stitching some little bookmarks with paw prints on them, or something else pet related. Again, any ideas welcome! Basically, anything that any of you could do and would be willing to donate would be greytly appreciated!

RECYCLING PROGRAM (FUNDRAISER)
An account has been established on behalf of GPAC with EVER GREEN RECYCLING. Anytime you,your family or friends bring in all those bags of pop bottles ect,you can now ask for the return to be placed into the account.
This can be done via either of the three locations across the city.It will remain there until a time when we have a need for funds.The returns are usually small but with a small push i think it can work....... SO START RECYCLING!
Fundraiser for GPAC Kennel >> CANADIAN TIRE MONEY
The kennel requires items of all sorts to aid in the day to day operations with hounds on site. Well, thanks to Lauren Cheeseman, we may have a great idea to help and also free up some money to assist other GPAC needs CANADIAN TIRE MONEY!!!!
We are once again calling on our members, family and friends to donate any Canadian Tire money you may have lying around. This could then be used in purchasing necessary items, ranging from cleaning supplies to a carpet leaner/steamer or even toys for the dogs. Basically anything the kennel may need to care for the Grey's as they wait to be placed in their new homes. It's a Greyt idea that doesn't really take a lot of effort as far as actual sales and volunteer time. As in past and present fundraising ideas, it's the continued generosity of our members that makes it work.
